Durham Hosts Inaugural Legacy Business Summit

Free Event Designed for Minority- and Women-Owned Business Owners

What: 2024 Durham Legacy Business Summit: Relevant Legacy - Pivot. Refresh. Execute.

Who: City of Durham Office of Economic and Workforce Development

When: Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Raleigh-Durham, 2515 Meridian Parkway, Durham, N.C. 27713

Event Program:

  • The City of Durham's Legacy Business Registry and Program is designed to celebrate and support the preservation of minority- and women-owned businesses in operation for 12 years or more to ensure their legacy lives on.
  • The City's Office of Economic and Workforce Development and its managing partner, M-Cubed & Co. Global, are hosting the program's inaugural business summit entitled, "RELEVANT LEGACY - Pivot. Refresh. Execute."
  • With many legacy business owners striving to remain visible in Durham's everchanging landscape, the Summit will focus on providing business owners and their leadership teams with access to thought leaders and trending ideas related to:
    1. Pivoting mindsets and businesses in today's market.
    2. Refreshing and motivating business owners toward authentic leadership.
    3. Executing key actions that could impact market presence and the bottom line.
  • More than 100 legacy business owners in Durham are invited to this free event and lunch will be provided. Registration is now available online until April 24.
