In acknowledging our strong partnership with the City of Houston, Mauricio expressed his support of the city's initiative, 'We share the vision that Mayor Turner has articulated in his Climate Action Plan. We have been a long-standing partner of the city, serving as the city's electricity plan provider since 2001, as a partner in supporting our shared community, and we are proud to be a part of the city's energy transition.' As a partner in the city's transition to 100% renewable, Mayor Turner emphasized that NRG and other organizations will play a key role in achieving Houston's climate commitment, 'It's a very ambitious [climate action] plan, but the City of Houston, the municipality, can't do it by itself.
