BUFFALO, N.Y. - Today, the Ride for Roswell, presented by the West Herr Automotive Group, launched registration for the 2022 event, which will take place on Saturday, June 25 at the University at Buffalo. Online registration is available at www.rideforroswell.org.

Thousands of riders and volunteers will gather at the University at Buffalo to participate in the 27th Ride for Roswell to raise funds for cancer research and patient care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Routes from 3 to 100 miles start between 6:30 and 10:30 a.m., providing an option for riders of all ages and skill levels. To give riders many opportunities to participate in their favorite route, the Ride has added additional start times for 2022.
For riders looking to create a DIY Ride Day experience, the Ride Your Own Way option is available again for 2022. This option allows individuals, families, friends and teams to create their own ride experience by selecting a date, location and route that suits their schedule, location and experience level.

"Year after year, the Ride community shows up and continues to prove they are an unstoppable force in the fight against cancer," said Dr. Candace Johnson, president and CEO of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. "Every day, loved ones in our community are being diagnosed with cancer and the funds raised are ensuring that we can continue to discover new treatments and bring the latest care to patients, giving hope to so many families right here in WNY."

Once again, there is no registration fee and no fundraising minimum for the Ride. To learn more about the locations, routes, rewards and to register, visit www.rideforroswell.org.

As of today, the 2022 Ride for Roswell will require volunteers and riders to show proof of vaccination in accordance with the University at Buffalo's COVID policies. This applies to all volunteers and riders over the age of 5 who will be starting and finishing their Ride experience at the University at Buffalo. This will also include all attendees of on-campus events such as the Celebration of Hope and post-ride festivities at Baird Point. We will continue to monitor guidelines and communicate any changes to policies as they arise.

The Ride is the single largest fundraising event in Western New York and the state's largest single-day cycling fundraiser. Since 1996, riders and volunteers have raised more than $63 million for cancer research and patient care programs at Roswell Park. The funds raised through the Ride for Roswell continue to help Roswell Park researchers investigate new treatment options; facilitate clinical trials for both common and rare types of cancers; support the costs of important medical testing not covered by insurance; and make possible quality of life programs that assist with non-medical needs from transportation to wigs to spiritual care and more.
