Within the state program "Plant the Future", the planting of apple orchards on 1,710 hectares of agricultural land area was financed throughout Georgia. The State co-financing exceeds Gel 15 million, including planting of an apple orchard in the Shida Kartli region financed with GEL 12 million on 1,387 hectares of agricultural land area.

Within the state program, the planting of new perennial gardens was financed on 461 hectares of agricultural land area in the villages adjacent to the occupation line.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia, together with the First Deputy Minister Mr. George Khanishvili, the State Representative of Shida Kartli region Mr. Mikheil Shakulashvili and the Mayor of Gori Mr. Vladimir Khinchegashvili visited the apple garden planted by the farmer Alexander Gugutishvili with the support of the state program "Plant the Future" in the village of Gugutiantkari.

"We carry out several targeted programs to promote the development of the horticulture field; New intensive gardens are being built, which implies that we will have a quality harvest. The quality harvest will be sold at high prices'' - the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture stated.
The local farmer, Aleksandre Gugutishvili, received co-financing of Gel 5,519 for planting an apple orchard on 0.5 hectares of agricultural land area in 2021. In 2020-2021, the farmer benefited from the preferential agro-credit state project, whereupon the loan interest rate for co-financing amounts to 11% for planting a garden and purchasing agricultural equipment.

It should be mentioned that, within the state program "Plant the Future", the planting of new perennial gardens in the villages adjacent to the occupation line is financed on 461 hectares of agricultural land area, the state co-financing exceeds GEL 4.6 million.
