Increasing Military Aid: The State and Business Implement the 'Defence Partners' Project

The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoliy Barhylevych met with the representatives of the "Defence Partners" project and discussed with them the strengthening of support of the Ukrainian defenders.

Among the participants of the meeting were deputy heads of the Office of the Head of State, government officials, members of Parliament, and entrepreneurs.

"Defence Partners" is a project in which the government involves representatives of state authorities and businesses to join forces to help the soldiers. The idea of this project is that each unit of the Defence Forces will be assigned separate representatives of the state government and business, who will help meet all urgent needs.

"I would like to thank everyone who joined the idea of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and is already helping. Of course, the state is always the flagship on this path. This is its direct function, to ensure the defence of its territory. However, when the bureaucratic machine cannot keep up with the flexibility of a smart, talented entrepreneur and a skilled manager from the state, you become an important force to help the state. You all took it as a personal case. All of you have already managed to accomplish quite a lot. This is your historic contribution to our victory," Andriy Yermak emphasized.

This enables specialized departments to concentrate on the implementation of the most complex and large-scale projects. Meanwhile, the participants of the "Defence Partners" initiative, who are constantly in touch with the brigade commanders, help to ensure their urgent needs (ammunition, drones, computer equipment, means of communication, and military rehabilitation).

The role of this project in strengthening the defence capabilities of Ukraine against the background of the growing scale of Russian aggression was also noted by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"Under circumstances when the enemy plans to expand its aggression and increase the number of troops, we need this help. We will be very happy if you continue to help our brigades - both those that are being formed and those that are already performing tasks," he said.

The meeting participants also discussed ways to scale the project to involve as many representatives of the state and business as possible to help the Defence Forces. After all, the quantity and quality of efforts depend on how quickly Ukraine will be able to achieve victory, the meeting participants summarized.
