PHILADELPHIA - Jan. 21, 2020 - BakerHostetler announced today that David Sherman has joined as a partner in the firm's recently announced Digital Assets and Data Management Practice Group, where he will practice as part of the Digital Risk Advisory and Cybersecurity team in Philadelphia. Sherman was previously a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP.
Sherman advises clients across several industries, including financial services, fintech, retail, manufacturing, health care, hospitality, municipal government, energy and construction, to proactively assess and mitigate cyber risk, facilitate incident response preparedness, and develop privacy and information security policies that comply with state, federal and international privacy and cybersecurity laws. Sherman also works with clients to manage their responses to any digital crisis. Well versed in negotiating and assessing his clients' service provider and business agreements, Sherman routinely counsels clients on how to best optimize contractual rights and obligations so that exposure is minimized in the event of an incident.
