DILLINGHAM, Alaska - From basketball and virtual reality games to chili cook-offs and the blanket toss, hundreds of Southwest Alaska residents are gathering in Dillingham this week for the 62nd Annual Beaver Round-Up. GCI, a longtime sponsor of the event, has donated $5,000 and a technology prize for this year's festivities.
One lucky winner at GCI's Halftime Show Airplane Toss will receive an Apple Watch, courtesy of GCI, during the Dillingham High School Wolverines' basketball game.
'GCI is proud to support such a long-standing community tradition that brings people together from across Southwest Alaska,' said Vice President of GCI Corporate Communications Heather Handyside.
