DALLAS - Dallas ISD extends bulk grab-and-go meal pickup service at more than for 40 schools for all students on Aug. 6, Aug. 13, Aug. 20 and Aug. 27. Please note, on Thursday, Aug. 6, W.E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy and E.B. Comstock Middle School will not be offering meal pickup service.
Since the closure of schools in March due to COVID-19, the district's Food and Child Nutrition Services has served more than 9 million meals.

Upcoming board discussion
A special called boarding meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 6, in accordance with the order of Governor Greg Abbott's Executive Order on June 26, 2020. These modifications are necessary to comply with governmental orders limiting gatherings to 50 percent capacity or less individuals.
Next week's board briefing on Thursday, Aug. 13, will discuss new recommendations presented by the Dallas ISD administration.
Dallas ISD invests $20 million to ensure districtwide technology access
A $20 million investment by Dallas ISD will allow the district to deploy iPads to approximately 46,000 students in pre-K through 2nd grade and Chromebooks for 14,000 students in grades 3-5 prior to the start of school on Sept. 8.
Parents will receive a backpack of supplies for each student containing the assigned computing device, charger, earbuds and a mobile Internet hotspot if the student doesn't have access to the Internet at home.
