Clifford Chance advises Ardian in its acquisition of Adamo, which represents its first investment in the telecommunications sector in Spain
Clifford Chance advises Ardian Infrastructure, a world leading private investment house, on the agreement reached with EQT to acquire 100% of Adamo, one of the fastest growing fibre optic operators and platforms in the Spanish market, focused on rural areas and supported by an open access wholesale business model.
Adamo has an existing footprint of approximately 1.8 million homes covered in more than fourteen autonomous communities in Spain and also provides connectivity services through its FTTH network to four of the main operators in the country and to more than 160 local operators. This transaction represents Ardian infrastructure's first investment in the telecommunications sector in Spain.
The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Javier Amantegui, supported by corporate associates Javier Montañés, Patricia Puertas, Andreína Velásquez and Laura Geli. The team was also formed by Jaime Almenar, Carme Briera, Begoña Barrantes, Jorge Martín-Fernández, Jorge Martín, Silvia Ménendez, Ignacio Magariños and Javier López.
