Relatives thank loved ones for remittances: Sber ad features real people

Sber has launched an ad campaign for the popular foreign remittance service on SberBank Online. The clip features the most beloved figures for migrants - their parents, brothers, sisters, and other relatives - the people for whom hundreds of thousands of people from neighboring countries come to Russia to find work.

The film crew adopted a documentary approach for the ad. They filmed not only the everyday lives of their protagonists, but also life in their countries, in a relaxed, practically improvised manner. The campaign's main characters conveyed well wishes and gratitude to their relatives in their native language. As early as this spring, viewers will hear from sisters from Kyrgyzstan, a brother and his family living in Uzbekistan, and the mother of an Uzbek migrant worker. The video and photo materials will be uploaded to the internet and social media and displayed using out-of-home advertising, transit advertising, and dormitories.

Sberbank is actively working on a system for foreign remittances because we understand how important caring for your relatives and loved ones is, especially when they live in a different country. We are creating an opportunity for people to show their love by enabling them to send money back home as easily and quickly as within Russia.

Acting Director of Sberbank's Payments and Transfers Division

You can send a money transfer to a neighboring country by opening the SberBank Online app and tapping Payments - Transfers - Abroad and then selecting either the option to input the recipient's full name and phone number for a cash payment or the option to input their phone number for a payment to their card. It is enough to have the recipient's full name (for a cash payment to be picked up at Western Union locations) or their mobile phone number (to transfer the payment to a card issued by a partner bank). The transaction fee is one percent.

Clients can select the phone number option to send funds to a card/account for recipients in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Transnistria, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Clients can select the full name and phone number for a cash payment option for recipients in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macao, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, and Estonia.
