The first virtual edition of this event in Porto will be held on May 22-23. Registrations are open.

To paint the streets pink, and since it is not possible to bring the usual 22,000 women to the streets of Porto, the EDP Women's Race will have a special edition this year: it will be held in virtual format on May 22-23, and you do not have to be in Porto to participate - you can do it from anywhere in the world.

For the first time, the EDP Women's Race will also accept the participation of male athletes. The idea is to invite families to have a nice time doing this unique, relaxing sport.

Participants can run the race at their own pace, walking or running, for as many kilometers as they want. The only condition is that they do it individually, avoiding group participation, on nearby streets or parks, with the running kit that the organizers will send them before the race.

Registrations cost 8 EUR and are available on the organization's website - www.runporto.com- until May 18 or until the registration limit is reached. Each participant will then receive a technical t-shirt, a bracelet, and a digital race bib at home. After the race, athletes can download their participation certificates from the organization's website.

With an expected limit of 5,000 registrations, the EDP Virtual Women's Race has a relevant social objective: it aims to raise awareness on the importance of breast cancer screening while also honoring women and promoting physical exercise among the general population. Preventing and helping in a charitable way are the key ideas of this event, and therefore, as usual, part of the registration proceeds will be donated to the Portuguese Oncology Institute in Porto to support its fight against breast cancer.

In the previous 14 editions, the participation of 225,000 women has made it possible to raise more than 263,000 EUR for social responsibility initiatives.
