One hundred years ago, in the midst of a pandemic, women won the right to vote. Do you know their story? Hunger strikes. Beatings. Bombings.
Based on real, historical figures, It's My Party! delves into the messy backstory of the 19th Amendment. Facing an uphill battle in Washington, some suffragists employ increasingly radical tactics to make their voices heard-leading to bitter rivalries and a generational split that threatened to tear the suffragists' movement apart from the inside!
This production is appropriate for all ages and will be followed by a talk-back with the cast after our Saturday matinees.
Featuring Caitlin Galloway-Chapa, Megan Haratine, Mandy Reichelt, Cindee Mayfield, Octavia Y. Thomas, Alysia Giakoumas, Leslie Patrick and Lindsay Hayward.
