NAMA Statement on ERTC Peer Letter

ARLINGTON, Va. - The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) today released the following statement from Carla Balakgie, NAMA president and CEO, in response to a letter sent by nearly 20 members of Congress urging congressional leadership to secure Q4 Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC):

"NAMA appreciates the elevation of the serious impact caused by eliminating access to the ERTC. If Congress fails to act, there are devastating and immediate consequences for small businesses and the people they employ - $196 million for the convenience services industry alone. We commend these congressional leaders for pushing to shore up Q4 ERTC access at a time when it could determine a company's ability to make it through the year and keep American workers on the payroll."

NAMA is the founding member of a coalition of 20 small business organizations actively urging Congress to include the last quarter of the ERTC in the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation budget.
