Men's golf places runner-up at Elizabethtown Invitational

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks men's golf team finished in second place out of 13 teams at the Elizabethtown College Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon on the par-71, 7061-yard East Course of the Hershey Country Club. (Team Standings | Individual Standings | Individual Cards)

For the second day in a row, the Nittany Lions collected 307 points as a team and for the second day in a row they trailed the team champion by five strokes. This time it was Millersville that edged Berks with a team score of 302 strokes. Hood College (310 strokes) followed in third place, while Dickinson College (311 strokes) and Eastern University (315 strokes) were fourth and fifth, respectively.

had the second best round of his collegiate career with a two-over 73, which placed him tied for 3rd in the field of 73 golfers. The senior shot an even 35 on the back-nine and had a 38 (+2) on the front nine. For the round, Kreider recorded five birdies and had a par on eight holes. Kreider drained lengthy putts on holes 4 and 18, which were both for birdie.
