HQWNC Conducts Outreach Programme for Veterans and Retiring Personnel

An Outreach programme on the newly-implemented SPARSH software was conducted at Mumbai on 04 August 2022 for the benefit of retiring personnel of WNC and naval veterans. Rear Admiral AD Nair, Assistant Chief of Personnel (AC), addressed the gathering and apprised all of Navy's Initiatives to enhance the welfare of retiring personnel and veterans. In addition to personnel from Mumbai, naval personnel from Goa, Karwar and Gujarat, and veterans from across the country attended the event through video conference. SPARSH is a pioneering one-stop online solution for retiring personnel and veterans for processing of pension claims and resolution of pension-related issues. The session on SPARSH was followed by a Pension Adalat to address queries of veterans. Kiosks were also set up to assist them in updating their Aadhaar details as well as to provide them latest information on medical and pension-related issues. A number of issues were resolved during the Adalat. The event was received very well by the veteran community.
