The administration at Tallahassee Community College, the Florida College System and the Florida Department of Health are closely monitoring developments in the outbreak of a new strain of coronavirus, now known as COVID-19. The respiratory illness caused by the virus was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China and continues to expand. There have been no known cases reported in Florida so far.
The Florida Department of Health is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor the current outbreak of COVID-19 and is actively working to ensure that the most up-to-date CDC guidance is quickly and accurately disseminated.
