U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken to Headline 2024 Sedona Forum

The McCain Institute at Arizona State University (ASU) today announced U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will headline the 2024 Sedona Forum in conversation with U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Friday evening, May 3. Secretary Blinken's appearance follows his visits to China and the Middle East. Senator Romney is the Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on China and a staunch advocate of U.S. involvement in global affairs.

"Secretary Blinken's participation in the 2024 Sedona Forum comes at a pivotal moment, on the heels of his travel to China and the Middle East," said McCain Institute Executive Director Dr. Evelyn Farkas. "His conversation with Senator Romney will provide important information and insights to participants of our Forum as we consider global threats to U.S. interests, the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, and relations with China."

Inspired by the McCain family, the Sedona Forum is held each spring to advance the mission of the McCain Institute: fighting for democracy, human dignity, and security. As the McCain Institute's signature annual event, the forum provides a unique opportunity for U.S. and world leaders to have informal, face-to-face discussions about real solutions to the problems facing our world today. This year's theme, "Securing Our Insecure World," will examine the greatest challenges to democracy, human rights, and global security and generate solutions for bringing stability to our increasingly insecure world.
