Crews of the long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces worked out night refueling in the sky over the Volga region

As part of scheduled training flights, long-range aviation crews completed the tasks of refueling aircraft in airspace. In particular, the pilots of the Tu-160 strategic missile carriers have worked out refueling from the Il-78 tanker aircraft.

The aircraft took off from different home airfields.

During the flights, the crews of the Tu-160 strategic missile carriers performed aerial refueling at an altitude of more than 6,000 meters and a speed of about 600 kilometers per hour, air patrols in a given zone, and also performed tactical missile launches at specified targets.
