State Police arrest East Greenbush man for possessing Child Porno...

On April 25, 2024, State Police of Schodack, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, arrested Ivan J. Schlekat, 21, of East Greenbush,NY, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class "D" felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class "E" felony.

Schlekat is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Schlekat was arrested and processed at SP Schodack. He was arraigned at the East Greenbush Town Court and released under the supervision of the Rensselaer County Probation Department.
