In 2022, two launches of the Angara heavy rocket and two launches of the Angara light rocket are planned from the Plesetsk cosmodrome

Two launches of the Angara-A5 heavy rocket and two launches of a light rocket of this class are planned to be carried out next year. This was reported to the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation by the Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) Sergey Surovikin.

"Next year, two launches of the Angara light rocket and two launches of the Angara-5 heavy rocket are planned in order to complete the tests and begin serial production of Angara rockets to fulfill further military space tasks," Sergei Surovikin reported to the minister, who is currently checking the modernization of the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region.

The Commander-in-Chief also said that the Angara-A5 rocket No. 3L is being assembled, which was shown to the Minister of Defence, and a specific launch date will be reported on December 20.

"This space rocket is being assembled. We are planning comprehensive tests on October 18-24, and a test of readiness for launch - from December 16 to December 21. On December 20, we will be ready to report to you on the specific launch date of this missile," Surovikin said.
