ASTRONAUTICS’ AGCS PROVIDES ALL-INCLUSIVE, SECURE, AND COST-EFFECTIVE CONNECTIVITY FOR BUSINESS AVIATION

System Enables Secure, Wireless Connectivity for Cabin, Flight Deck, and Ground Operations

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, October 22, 2019 - Astronautics Corporation of America's air-ground communications system (AGCS) enables both cabin and flight deck connectivity within one system backed by qualified hardware ensuring secure domain separation between avionics data and cabin connections.

AGCS provides faster, better, and less expensive wireless data usage for passenger, pilot, maintainer, and fleet operator through Wi-Fi, cellular, and SATCOM connections:

■ Passengers can connect personal devices to internet, teleconference with colleagues, or stream in-flight entertainment.

■ Pilots import data to and from tablets to onboard avionics, including flight plans, weather, and health maintenance.

■ Maintainers receive automated distribution of avionics data.[Attachment]

■ Operators access fleet tracking and aircraft health status, plus store and retrieve hundreds of hours of operational data.

'Astronautics designed AGCS to be an all-inclusive connectivity solution for our customers providing value to passengers, flight deck crews, and back-office ground operations,' said Astronautics President Chad Cundiff. 'We know that flexibility, space, weight, and cost matters to our customers, and we've leveraged our security expertise to design a system that bridges both domains with multiple cost-effective and secure wireless options.'

AGCS consists of the airborne communications server (AFS6400), connectivity module (AFS6460), remote media device (AFS6480), and ground-server software (GSS6000), creating a complete air-to-ground, secure data transmission system for cabin and cockpit.
