Homicide: 3900 Block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast.

At approximately 1:07 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located four adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victims to local hospitals for treatment.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, an adult male was arrested by responding officers and was charged with Assault with Intent to Kill.

On Friday, December 3, 2021, one of the victims succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 65 year-old Dennis Foster, of Northwest, DC.

The decedent's remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) for an autopsy. As a result, the cause of death was determined to be from gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
