On Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, held a virtual meeting (via a closed circuit) from the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli With Mr. Tomas Garcia, Head of Exploration and Production of the Spanish company Repsol, and Mr. Simone Sciamana , General Manager of Repsol Company, Libya Branch, in the presence of Mr. Abulgasem Shengher , Member of the Board of Directors of Exploration and Production of the National Oil Corporation.

During the meeting, many important topics were discussed, which included:

- Reducing gas emissions.

- InWell center at NOC facilities.

- Sharara Production sustainability and improvements

- Joint cooperation in developing fields.

- Corporate Social Responsibility.

The discussion started with the implementation of the renewable energies project according to what had been previously agreed upon and studying the generation of electricity by solar energy and the possibility of using the generated power by the company's operations in its various locations, as well as the establishment of a LPG plant to provide gas to locals.

It was also agreed to hold several workshops with the concerned technical departments at NOC to maintain and increasing production, as well as to work on conducting an assist integrity studies to ensure the safety of the assets, especially after the frequent leaks and malfunctions due to the closures of the fields during the last few years.

The company has also confirmed, through social responsibility programs, its participation in supporting the program carried out by the World Health Organization to treat childhood cancer.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, thanked Repsol for its contribution in providing appropriate technical support to Akakos oil operations , as well as for its contribution and the rest of the second party components in sustainable development projects, support for global health programs and the provision of appropriate treatment for children with cancer.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties affirmed the expansion of the base of partnership and cooperation in order to achieve the ambitious plans of the National Oil Corporation to raise production rates and increase the benefit of both parties.
