Hosted by Adam Fleming and Victoria Derbyshire, fans of Newscast, Americast and Ukrainecast will get the opportunity to watch live recordings of the BBC's flagship news podcasts as part of the first ever Castfest on 18 October.

The audience will be invited to hear the episodes recorded live before they're made available on BBC Sounds shortly after the event.

Victoria and Adam will also speak to some of the BBC's fantastic news podcast hosts. The event will feature Chris Mason, Justin Webb, Sarah Smith, Marianna Spring and Gabriel Gatehouse, as well as Nikki Fox and De-Graft Mensah.

Castfest will be held on 18 October in Broadcasting House, London. It takes place 100 years to the day since the British Broadcasting Company, as the BBC was originally called, was formed in 1922. The BBC will mark the 100th birthday as part of the event as it continues to build on the success of its critically-acclaimed news podcasts.

Adam Fleming says: "One of the best things about Newscast is that it feels like a big extended family with BBC journalists, amazing guests and Newscasters, so it'll be great to have a proper catch-up in real life. Especially as we've all kept each other company during so many momentous moments over the last few years."

Victoria Derbyshire says: "Hosting Ukrainecast is a huge privilege and also a responsibility I take very seriously. I can't wait to meet some of our incredible listeners who play such a crucial role in making this podcast a success."

Jonathan Aspinwall, Senior News Editor, BBC News Pods, says: "Our super-loyal and smart listeners already shape our content with their brilliant voice notes and emails.
