Henderson State choirs to perform final spring concert April 22

Henderson State University Choirs will present their final concert of the spring semester April 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church-Arkadelphia sanctuary. The performance is free and open to the public.

Entitled "Hope Lingers On," the concert will include works by Lodovico Viadana, Clara Schumann, Alice Parker, and others. Dr. Bill Higgins will be the featured soloist.

"The music for this performance is drawn from a broad landscape, but each piece works within the whole to express a sense of hope for the present and future," said Dr. Jonathan Barranco, director of choral activities at Henderson. "I am most excited that this performance will feature several of our student conductors and leaders, each of whom has increased my hope for the future of music making."
