Monongahela Valley Hospital Revises Visitation Policy as COVID Cases Surge

(August 11, 2021 - Carroll Township, Pa.)

With the rising number of COVID-19 cases pushing Washington County and surrounding counties into the substantial spread category, Monongahela Valley Hospital is revising its visitation policy for the health and safety of its patients, visitors, employees and physicians.

Effective Thursday, Aug. 12, each inpatient will be limited to only one registered visitor for the duration of their hospital stay. Visitors will be screened upon entry and given a wristband. While in the hospital, visitors must wear masks at all times - including while in the patients' rooms. Exceptions will continue to be allowed for end-of-life visitation and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
