Washington, DC - Today Representative Dina Titus of Nevada's First Congressional District released the following statement following Senate passage of a Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution to reverse the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) vote to undermine the Obama Administration net neutrality regulations:
'Today's vote is a bipartisan show of support for the millions of Americans speaking out for a free and open internet,' said Representative Titus. 'As an original cosponsor of the House resolution to reverse the FCC's misguided decision, I call upon Speaker Ryan to bring this important piece of legislation to the floor for a vote. The ability of consumers to connect with the world through the internet has become vital to everyday commerce and personal communication. As people share more and more information across this platform, we must ensure the equitable delivery of these services to all. Be assured I will continue to fight for a free and open internet.'
Representative Titus is an original cosponsor of H.J.Res. 129, a Congressional Review Act resolution to reverse the FCC's decision. Last March Representative Titus voted against S.J. Res. 34, expressing congressional disapproval for the 2015 Open Internet Order.
