FMI Midsummer Event Proceeds Online to Fuel Trading Partner Collaboration

ARLINGTON, VA - FMI, the food industry association, today announces its Midsummer Strategic Executive Exchange Conference will proceed as an online forum to fuel its members' crisis planning and operations, accelerating stronger and deeper collaborative partnerships in an evolving food and consumer goods business environment. As the second in FMI's previously announced three-part series of 2021 trading partner opportunities, Midsummer will support high-impact industry dialog and offer select education sessions geared toward implications for the food industry as it keeps the country fed.

WHO: Designed for executives and their teams to discuss key business issues, establish priorities and discuss implementation of agreed-to business plans for the balance of 2021 and forecast into 2022.

WHAT: FMI Midsummer Strategic Executive Exchange

WHEN: June 21 - 25, 2021

WHERE: Online at www.FMI.org/Midsummer

WHY: FMI President and CEO Leslie G. Sarasin noted:

'Last year, we conceived the Midsummer event as a means of helping our industry work through the effects of the national emergency and engage in collaborative discussions about urgent pandemic-related concerns. One year later, we had hoped Midsummer would be a celebratory return to an in-person event for our business leaders in June; however, the environment continues to demand and reaffirm the need for a digital forum that encourages extensive trading partner collaboration as our country moves toward economic recovery.

'Across five powerful days at Midsummer, our members will focus on the road ahead - intent on safely continuing to feed our nation - by engaging in dynamic discussions, networking across diverse retail and product supplier companies, listening to insights regarding the most pressing business issues, and curating up to 34 private trading partner meetings through the Strategic Executive Exchange program.'
