Martin Hinteregger's Austria followed Denmark's humbling of Gibraltar on Thursday with a 6-0 victory of their own against Latvia, but a Serbia Under-21 side featuring Dejan Joveljic were beaten in Russia.
The Alpine nation dominated proceedings from start to finish in Wals, cruising to a comfortable 6-0 win over Group G's bottom side. Hinteregger, featuring at left-back, played the full 90 minutes.
Elsewhere on Friday, Dejan Joveljic and the Serbia Under-21s slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat in Russia. The Eagles forward played just over an hour in Saransk before being replaced by Uros Racic in the 64th minute.
