Traffic Advisory

On Tuesday, Jan. 18, a contractor for Coachella Valley Water District will begin work on Hovley Lane East between Oasis Club Drive and Indian Ridge Drive in Palm Desert. Construction hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Portions of the westbound lane will be closed. Closures will be marked and at least one lane will remain open. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible. Alternate routes are Fred Waring Drive or Country Club Drive.

The work is part of a project to connect four golf courses to CVWD's nonpotable water pipeline system. Construction is moving west along East Hovley Drive and is expected to reach the District's largest water reclamation facility on Cook Street in early March.

Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 108,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
