Eighth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021

Before adopting the agenda, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Milija Miletic, Snezana Paunovic and Dr Ugljesa Mrdic, requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

Based on the Decision of the Republic Electoral Commission and the Report of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, pursuant to Article 27 paragraph 5 of the Law on Election of MPs, the National Assembly noted the verification of the term of office of MP Amela Lukac Zoranic, elected from the Academician Muamer Zukorlic - Straight Ahead - Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP) - Democratic Party of Macedonians (DPM) Electoral List, after which the new MP took the oath of office.

The following agenda was adopted for the sitting:

  1. Bill on Referendum and People's Initiative, submitted by the Government.
The National Assembly commenced a debate in principle on the only item on the agenda, presented by Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Marija Obradovic on behalf of the submitter.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate in principle and as there were no amendments submitted to the Bill, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic set Thursday, 25 November 2021, as Voting Day on the only item on the agenda of the Eighth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021, starting at 7.02 pm.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 25 November 2021, by majority vote, the National Assembly passed the Bill on Referendum and People's Initiative.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the only item on the agenda and ruled on it, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic concluded the Eighth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021.
