Second Annual CESP Champion Recognition Event on April 25

The UToledo Office of Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships (CESP) will host its second annual CESP Champion Recognition event on Thursday, April 25, at the Carlson Library Main Event Space (Room 1005).

The CESP Champion Recognition is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. and a light breakfast will be provided.

During the event, more than 20 students, staff, faculty and community partners will be recognized for engaging in noteworthy community engagement and partnerships over the 2023-2024 academic year. CESP is collaborating with the SSOE Group, The University of Toledo Medical Center, University Counseling Center and others to showcase these stellar partnership efforts campuswide.

CESP Champion Awards will be presented under the categories:

• Champion of Silent Partnership 2023;

• Champion of Academic and Student Success 2024;

• "Ignite" Champion of Forward Thinking 2024;

• Champion of Community-Based Wellness; and

• Featured Future Partnership for 2024.

"In alignment with the University's strategic plan, CESP should promote community engagement and strategic partnerships," said Valerie Walston, special advisor to the president for Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships. "I have convened a small committee to help recognize select individuals who are creating meaningful relationships that elevate our engagement in the community."
