On December 26, 2018, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan, Jalolov Mirzosharif, presented his Letter of Credentials to His Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan.
At the beginning of the presenting ceremony, Emperor Akihito congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador on taking office and wished him success in carrying out his diplomatic mission.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan conveyed warm regards and best wishes of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon to His Majesty and the Japanese people.
After the presentation of the Credentials, the Emperor held a short conversation with the Ambassador, during which there was an exchange of views on the prospects of further development of Tajik-Japanese cooperation in the light of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Tajikistan to Japan in October of this year.
Taking opportunity, the Emperor of Japan conveyed greetings and best wishes to Head of State Emomali Rahmon and the people of Tajikistan.
