Nassau County - The City of Glen Cove City Council, as lead agency, has made the Final Scope available and accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan with Sustainability Elements. The action involves the proposed adoption of a Comprehensive Plan Update. The plan seeks to streamline pathways for economic growth and development, while addressing community needs and environmental sustainability. The plan is being updated with the input of a Comprehensive Planning Committee and Core Working Group, stakeholders/experts, and the community, which was engaged throughout the process. The Plan will include the following chapters: - History and Regional Context - Demographics and Housing - Land Use and Zoning - Transportation and Mobility - Downtown and Economic Development - Natural Resources, Climate Change, and Resilience - Infrastructure and Utilities - Community Facilities - Future Land Use Plan and Implementation. The project is located throughout the City of Glen Cove, New York.
