This is your USD News Minute.

Over the weekend, our USD Toreros where out in Linda Vista to celebrate the place USD calls home. Students, faculty and staff from across campus joined our community partners in the 39th Annual Linda Vista Multicultural Fair and Parade where Vice President of Student Affairs, Charlotte Johnson, was the event's grand marshal. We're proud to celebrate the people that make our neighborhood so special.

The San Diego Business Journal has named its 2024 Nonprofit Board Leaders of Influence. We are happy to announce our very own president, James T. Harris III, along with Darlene Marcos Shiley, chair eme-rita, and Virginia C. Nelson from our Class of 1979, who currently serves as vice chair of USD's Board of Trustees were all recognized on this prestigious list for their unparallelled leadership both on our campus and in our community. Congratulations to all!

Monday, May 6th, SOLES is hosting part two of its Community Conversations series, focused on understanding and embracing neurodiversity. Dean Kimberly White-Smith will be joined by subject matter experts for the second and final conversation, which is free to attend. It starts at 5 p.m. in Room 204 at SOLES.
