Petrozavodsk, Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg, and Murmansk to host EU-Russia CBC-themed exhibition

Travelling Exhibition 'Together'is dedicated to the Cross-Border Cooperation between the European Union and the Russian Federation, which has been facilitating the social and economic development of the territories on both sides of the borders and fostering people-to-people contacts. The exhibition is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Russia, in association with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. From September to November, the exhibition will tour in Petrozavodsk, Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg, and Murmansk - four major cities of Russia's North-Western Federal District actively involved in EU-Russia CBC programmes.

As of today, the 'Together' Exhibition will also be available online, showcasing the results of the successful and fruitful cooperation between the EU Member States and Russia to residents of other Russian regions as well.

The Exhibition's opening ceremony on 27 September in Kaliningrad will be attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach and Ambassador of the EU to the Russian Federation Markus Ederer, who will deliver speeches, as well as by Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov.

The 'Together' Exhibition is an illustrative and visually compelling representation of the 22 projects implemented as part of various Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes 2014-2020. These initiatives include large infrastructural projects, such as improving the water supply system in Sortavala or modernization of the border checkpoint of the Saint Petersburg Marine Façade Port; reconstruction of historical heritage sites, and joint work of educational institutions to promote robotics or music literacy, as well as projects aimed at promoting and developing green technologies, supporting local entrepreneurship, expanding employment opportunities, and protecting the environment.

The Exhibition offers a broad spectrum of testimonies from the people involved in Cross-Border Cooperation, including employees of large and small enterprises, scientists, creative professionals, students, and local community representatives.
