Trinseo Provides Detail on Utility Surcharge for Base Plastics, Polystyrene and Feedstocks

HORGEN, Switzerland - Friday, October 15, 2021

Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, and its affiliate companies in Europe, today, provide the following detail regarding utility surcharges for Trinseo base Plastics, Polystyrene and Feedstocks products.

In order to continue ensuring normal production and service levels, Trinseo and its affiliates will implement as of November 1, 2021 price surcharges to all deliveries of the following products in the EMEA Region:

  • Styrene Monomer: €200/MT
  • STYRON™ Polystyrene Resins: €200/MT
  • MAGNUM™ ABS and TYRIL™ SAN Resins: €200/MT
  • CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins: €300/MT
  • PULSE™ and EMERGE™ PC/ABS Resins: €300/MT
  • ENLITE™ ABS Long Glass Fiber (ABS LGF) Alloys: €300/MT

These surcharges are in response to unprecedented and escalating pressure from energy prices and apply to all current agreements and contracts for deliveries as of November 1, 2021 and are subject to further potential adjustments linked to fluctuating energy prices.
