Dallas ISD News: Dallas ISD COVID-19 Update: April 14

NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: April 14, 2021

DALLAS - Data shows that the period between birth and three years is critical in the educational development of children. In an effort to expand high-quality early learning opportunities for young children, Dallas ISD presented Project Legacy 2050 to the Board of Trustees on April 8, which aims to offer a childcare program that helps stimulate a child's brain, language and literacy development and social and emotional skills. The program will also connect families to other resources such as housing, transportation, and health services.

Administrators are aiming to have an action plan for Project Legacy 2050 in the winter.

This is Home profiles - Jeremy Taylor, electrical instructor by day, pro wrestler on the weekend
Jeremy Taylor always had a passion for inspiring and supporting young people, which is why in 2020 this career electrician became a teacher at the Dallas ISD Career Institutes. He says this has given him the chance to share his trade knowledge with students and show them that they have other options besides college after high school. While Taylor loves his role as a teacher, he also loves the rough-and-tumble world of professional wrestling, where he has held multiple championships at the Christian Wrestling Federation.
