Black & Yellows continue winning run in Ruhr derby

Not only did the Black & Yellows (2.9) clearly get the better of Schalke (0.1) in terms of expected goals. The shot (19-3) and corner (11-3) statistics also spoke volumes. BVB clearly dictated the proceedings (60% possession) and were significantly tougher tacklers (56% of challenges won) than the promoted outfit.

Derby run: BVB have won each of the last four derbies - by a combined scoreline of 12-0. Only once before - in the 1960s, when they won eight consecutive derbies between 1964 and 1967 - have BVB racked up as many successive victories over Schalke 04.

Match-winner: Youssoufa Moukoko only touched the ball eight times in his 26 minutes on the pitch but still had four shots - more than the entire Schalke team! The 17-year-old, who is now the youngest goalscorer in a Ruhr derby, scored the first header of his Bundesliga career and his seventh goal in the German top flight (36 appearances). No other Bundesliga player has reached this goal tally at such a young age.

Front and centre: Jude Bellingham registered five shots - more than any other player - on his 100th competitive appearance for BVB. The 19-year-old is the youngest player in BVB's history to reach a century of appearances!

Goals guaranteed: None of BVB's last 100 Bundesliga matches have ended 0-0. Borussia's last goalless game came on 26 October 2019 - against Schalke 04.

Scoring run: Borussia Dortmund have found the net in each of their last 37 Bundesliga home games. The last time BVB failed to score at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK was in the 4-0 defeat to Hoffenheim on Matchday 34 of the 2019/20 season.

Goal drought: S04 have failed to score in their last five meetings with BVB (0-0, 4-0, 3-0, 4-0 and now 1-0) - it is Schalke's longest-ever goal drought in the Ruhr derby!

Minimalists: BVB recorded their fifth victory of the Bundesliga season - four of which have ended 1-0.

Milestone match: Marius Wolf was making his 50th Bundesliga appearance for Borussia Dortmund.

Landmark appearance: Marco Reus, who unfortunately went off injured, was playing his 250th Bundesliga game for Borussia Dortmund (110 goals). The 33-year-old has been with the club since the 2012/13 season.
