Public Comment / Public Hearing on Substantial Amendment #4 to State of Alaska Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Action Plan for 2018 Cook Inlet Earthquake

A Virtual Public Hearing to accept comments on Substantial Amendment #4 to the State of Alaska Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery Action Plan for the 2018 Cook Inlet Earthquake (CDBG-DR) Program will be held on May 3, 2024 between 4:00 - 5:00 P.M. Interested parties may participate or provide comment by calling 800-315-6338, access code 94587#.

CDBG-DR funds are allocated only to the CDBG-DR eligible jurisdictions and other entities; Municipality of Anchorage, Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Cook Inlet Housing Authority, NeighborWorks Alaska and Habitat for Humanity - Anchorage. The objective of the program is to address unmet disaster recovery needs through activities authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5301 et seq.) (HCDA) related to disaster relief, long-term recovery, restoration of infrastructure and housing, economic revitalization, and mitigation resulting from the 2018 Cook Inlet Earthquake, which occurred on November 30, 2018. The Action Plan describes how the State of Alaska administers the program and the activities to be undertaken during the next three years.
