Guangxi Launches this Year's First Seafood Cold-chain Logistics Train on New Western Land-Sea Corridor

At 14:25 on March 30, No. 20038 train loaded with 8 cold-chain containers departed from Fangchenggang Station and arrived at Xiaonanya Station in Chongqing 3 days later. This is the first seafood cold-chain logistics train on the New Western Land-Sea Corridor originated from Guangxi this year.

Guangxi Beibu Gulf is rich in seafood. In recent years, with the rapid development of the corridor, Fangchenggang, located in the Beibu Gulf, has vigorously developed the cold chain logistics economy, taking the lead in operating the cold-chain sea-highway-rail intermodal transport for ASEAN seafood in China. Since the launch of railway cold chain logistics in 2016, Fangchenggang has opened 8 'point-to-point' cold-chain sea-highway-rail intermodal train services to Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and other places, with a total of 96,000 tons of seafood shipped.
