Jeremy Clarkson’s hit TV show puts Cotswold village in the spotlight

Ever wondered what it would be like to live in the Cotswolds countryside? Well, it seems plenty of others have too, since the launch of Jeremy Clarkson's hit Amazon Prime TV, Clarkson's Farm.

The eight-part series follows the former Top Gear presenter after he decided that he'd be brilliant at running the 1,000-acre countryside holding he owns in Oxfordshire.

And even though the nation has watched him contend with not only a global pandemic, but also the worst farming weather in decades - a month's worth of rain hits the crops in a day - the show's location captivated more home hunters than anywhere else in Britain last month.

Searches for homes to buy in the Cotswold village of Chadlington, home of Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm, jumped by 511% in June, compared to the same period last year.

The market town of Chipping Norton, just a few miles away, has also seen a spike in searches of 64%, further highlighting how keen-eyed viewers of the show have been inspired to search for homes in this beautiful part of Britain.

With a second series of Clarkson's Farm now commissioned, we thought we'd take a look at a few properties for sale near Chadlington, just in case you're already imagining what life could be like living in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Set over three floors, you'll find exposed timber beams and stone walls throughout, along with a wood-burning stove, giving that real feel of being in a countryside cottage.

There's a separate living room, kitchen and reception room on the ground floor, plus three bedrooms on the upper floors.
