Storm Barra - Update on An Post Services

8 December 2021

Regular mail services, collections and deliveries, will resume tomorrow in the areas impacted by today's Level Red storm alert.

All Mail Delivery Offices will operate as normal although there may still be some localised disruption, particularly in coastal areas.

The impact of the severe weather conditions on letter and parcel services may take some days to clear given the cancellation of ferry traffic and road freight disruptions today.

Post Offices in the areas under Red Level warning will re-open tomorrow. There have been some isolated closures due to power outages in various parts of the country. Any Childrens's Allowance payments due for payment today (Tuesday), will be paid at Post Offices tomorrow (Wednesday).

We will continue to update customers via our website www.anpost.com and our social media channels. Regular national updates and alerts also at gov.ie/stormbarra
