Overnight Weekend Lane Closures on SR 54/Jonesboro Rd for Resurfacing Project
METRO ATLANTA - Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install overnight lane closures on SR 54/Jonesboro Road in Clayton County this weekend for a resurfacing project on SR 54 from SR 138 to the Clayton County/Fulton County line. Resurfacing improves the roadway's deteriorating condition.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, alternating left or right single lane closures will be installed on SR 54/Jonesboro Road northbound and southbound from SR 138 to the county line beginning 8 p.m. on Friday, April 19 until 5 a.m. on Monday.
These closures will help ensure the safety of drivers and workers as crews begin milling, inlay and resurfacing operations on the roadway. This $5.5 M project is scheduled for completion in winter 2024.
