World Hydrography Day Observed at ENC

ENC celebrated World Hydrography Day 2022 onboard INS Nirupak on 21 June 2022. A group of students from various schools in Visakhapatnam visited the ship. The students were exposed to various Hydrographic activities undertaken by Indian Navy , which contribute to the production of Marine charts for the safety of mariners at sea. The students were briefed about the importance of hydrographic surveys and the major role of hydrography in sustainable development which is critical in today's world. The students were also given a live demo of state-of-the-art survey equipment onboard the ship and their application in hydrographic surveying.
