PM SKERRIT TO PRESENT BUDGET ON WEDNESDAY JULY 28

Prime Minister of Dominica and Minister for Finance, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit will deliver the 2021/2022 National Budget Address on Wednesday, July 28 2021.

The Prime Minister will seek Parliament's approval to earmark funds from the Consolidated Fund at an amount of 993.6 million dollars. Of this fund 438.9 million dollars will be allocated to the Government's Public Sector Investment Programme.

During this fiscal year, Government aims to advance projects geared towards the continued development and transformation of the economy. The development and construction of the International Airport is considered the priority project with an estimated expenditure of 75 million dollars.

In the Budget Address, the Minister for Finance will also propose to Parliament a number of new policy measures which will bring additional economic benefits to our people. Many of these were crafted following feedback and consultation with the private sector, citizens and residents during the past year.
