UAV crews found a disguised camp of a mock enemy at an exercise in the Kemerovo region

Military personnel of the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) crews of the Central Military District (CMD) discovered a disguised camp of a mock enemy and adjusted artillery fire during an exercise at the Yurginsky training ground in the Kemerovo region.

According to the plan of the exercise, the military personnel received the task to move to the designated area in order to conduct aerial reconnaissance of the terrain to detect a mock enemy. Upon arrival in the designated area, the crew deployed the Orlan-10 UAV complex and the withdrew the drone into a given square. When conducting aerial reconnaissance using infrared cameras, military specialists revealed the camouflaged location of the enemy camp. The received coordinates of the enemy were transferred to the control point of the artillery unit for its destruction. Reconnaissance was carried out at various altitudes based on weather conditions and preventing the device from being detected by a mock enemy.

About 500 servicemen took part in the exercise, which took place at the Yurginsky training ground, and more than 20 units of military and special equipment were involved.

Combined arms formation of CMD is stationed on the territory of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai territory, the Republic of Tyva and the Republic of Khakassia. It includes motorized rifle, artillery and anti-aircraft missile formations, NBCP troops and signals.
