Norton Rose Fulbright ushers in new generation of US leadership with two promotions to C-Suite

Norton Rose Fulbright today announced its promotions of Lisa Featherson to Chief People and Development Officer and Emily Rogers to Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, the result of both women's longstanding leadership at the firm.

Based in New York, Featherson and Rogers have worked together for more than a decade and have held other leadership roles during their tenure.

"Lisa and Emily exemplify the qualities of leadership and collaboration that we need to continue competing at the highest levels of our profession and stand out as an exceptional place to work," said Jeff Cody, Norton Rose Fulbright's US Managing Partner. "Today's law firm leaders are being called on to innovate like never before, and Lisa's and Emily's arrival to the C-suite exemplifies our next generation of leadership-one we hope can not only meet current challenges, but set a new bar for us, and the industry at large, to aspire to in the future."

The promotions add to the global law firm's impressive roster of women leaders, with women making up 44 percent of its US Management Committee. Along with Alexis Collins, Chief Information Officer and Christy Bentz, Chief Client Value and Innovation Officer, the firm's C-suite is now made up of 80 percent women. The intentional investment and elevation of women and other diverse talent at Norton Rose Fulbright is integral to the firm's career development and DEI goals, and will continue to be a key focus area moving forward.

Featherson started her career in Legal Recruiting at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel before joining Chadbourne & Parke LLP. Prior to the combination with Norton Rose Fulbright, she served as their Director of Legal Personnel & Recruiting. After the combination, Lisa was elevated to US Managing Director of People & Development, where she led strategic talent initiatives in the US and oversaw its Talent Development, Legal Talent Management, Partner Recruitment, Legal Recruitment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Human Resources/Administration teams.

"I've spent the bulk of my professional life in the legal talent space, and the last few years have been among the most challenging and rewarding of my career-making the timing of this promotion even more meaningful," said Featherson. "I'm excited to be a part of the next phase of the firm's growth as we continue to adapt to new ways of working and double down on our commitments to DEI, transparency, and the flexibility we need to build a strong and collaborative culture."

Rogers entered the legal industry in 2011 as a Senior Graphic Designer at Chadbourne & Parke. Over the course of six years, she was elevated to Marketing & Brand Manager, in large part due to her work leading the successful rebranding of the firm in 2014. After joining Norton Rose Fulbright in 2017, she earned the role of US Managing Director of Marketing, where she oversaw a cross-functional team of 25 professionals across brand, communications, CRM, digital, social media, and content marketing. In this capacity, she led several strategic projects at the firm, including a popular project finance podcast, Currents, which has 2.7 million downloads and is considered one of the top energy podcasts in the country.

"One of the best parts of my job is collaborating across every practice group, office, and department to create strategic and innovative marketing solutions that meet the firm's evolving needs," said Rogers. "Throughout my career, I've used my creative background to bring out-of-the-box thinking to the legal industry, and it's been rewarding to work at a place that is so supportive of new approaches. I'm honored by this promotion and look forward to continuing to push myself-and the firm-into the future."

Today's announcement follows a series of others, all of which demonstrate the firm's commitment to strategic growth and innovation. In April, the firm announced its Midwest expansion, opening a new Chicago office in the city's vibrant Fulton Market District and adding an acclaimed 11-attorney litigation team to its Minneapolis office. Last month, the firm launched its new, innovation-focused subsidiary, LX Studio, and announced its a partnership with NMBL Technologies to license the company's flagship legal workflow management platform, Proxy.

The promotions of Featherson and Rogers are effective immediately.
