After more than two years of planning, community engagement and construction, Court Street Plaza is finally opening to the public. The completed project features expanded sidewalks and outdoor dining areas, public art, new lighting, as well as other streetscape elements to bring fun events and activities to this historic business district, located between Vine and Walnut streets. To celebrate the occasion, 3CDC is hosting a weekend-long celebration June 11-13, including a ribbon cutting event on Saturday, June 12 at 11 a.m., featuring remarks from City of Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley and Kroger Chairman & CEO Rodney McMullen.

On Friday, June 11, join us for the unveiling of the new mural by Cincinnati artist Gee Horton at 4 p.m., followed by a meet-and-greet with the artist as a DJ spins tunes. On Saturday, attend the Court Street Market from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., featuring 20 local vendors, taking a break to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting at 11 a.m. Also enjoy live music on Saturday throughout the day until 8 p.m. On Sunday, we conclude the festivities with the Court Street Cruise In, with over 20 classic cars on display, as well as live music, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After you've spent some time taking in the newly revitalized Court Street Plaza, check out the new mural at Findlay Market, located along the east side of Saigon Market at 119 West Elder Street. Created in celebration of Asian Heritage Month, the Asian American Cultural Association of Cincinnati partnered with local artist Anissa Pulcheon to paint the mural, 'Food Is Our Love Language.' The mural aims to celebrate joy and resilience, a theme that is especially poignant for those in the Asian community during this time. This piece also conveys the message that sharing food with those in your community is an act of love and a way to bring people together. As we look forward to seeing more people coming together and celebrating in love and friendship, this mural serves as a symbol that what we hope will represent our Downtown Cincinnati community.
