You read that right: Every single congressional Republican sided with Big Pharma over the American people - and 43 Senate Republicans actually went out of their way to block an amendment that would cap out-of-pocket insulin costs at $35 for millions of Americans on private insurance.

The Inflation Reduction Act will drive down costs by allowing Medicare to directly negotiate the price of prescription drugs for the first time, yet not a single GOP lawmaker crossed the aisle to help middle-class families.

Republicans have made clear that they would rather protect wealthy tax cheats than help reduce the national deficit. Let's be clear: The Inflation Reduction Act will ensure that corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share in taxes. Americans making less than $400,000 a year will not see increased audit rates or higher tax rates.
